Our Mission & Vision

Since 2009, To the Stan and Back (Stan is short for Afghanistan) has offered support services for serving and retired members of the Canadian Armed Forces and front line responders for post combat wellness programs.

This fundraiser supports Post-Combat Wellness Programs including, service dogs for men and women affected with Operational Stress Injuries such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Our Goals

Service Dogs

Did you know the cost of a service dog is around $30,000? This makes it a real challenge for people who require one, to aquire one. We help make this possible.

Public Awareness

We believe raising awareness to the public helps in a large way as it informs the public that there is a real problem and a lot of people are in need of help.

Food Support

 We have donated over $200,000.00 in discounted gift certificates to serving Canadian Force members returning from Afghanistan.

Recreational Equipment for Mess Halls

Our charity has donated over $100,000 to Canadian Forces Base mess halls across the nation for much needed electronic and or recreational equipment

Wellness & Personal Support Programs

We provide combat wellness programs for Veterans and front line responders through organizations such as Project Trauma Support, Veterans Canada and Courageous Companions.

Housing for Homeless Veterans

What will my donation directly support?

All donations to “To the Stan and Back” are eligible for a tax receipt and all net proceeds will go towards post combat wellness programs such as Service Dogs.

Some of the projects we have supported in the past include: Courageous Companions, Soldier On, True Patriot Love, Project Trauma Support, Shilo MFRC, GGFG Regimental Association, Regiment de Hull, UBC Veterans Transition Program, Veterans Transition Network, and Warriors Writers Workshop.
